Making portraits in clay is a challenging and highly rewarding process for me, as I try to capture not just the forms and details of the model, but their personality and spirit as well.

Earthenware is sculpted over an armature with the model present (5-6 hours sitting) and finished with photographs.

The work is then hollowed out, a base is added, and the piece is fired after at least a week of drying.

Please contact me if you would like a custom head or bust made.
